The SC Science Academy is proud to announce its October Culture of Excellence Award winners. Each month the faculty and staff of SCSA elect one student from 6th, 7th, 8th, and secondary education grades that consistently embody the qualities of a high achieving scholar and responsible young adult. This month’s winners are MayaGrace Jackson in 6th grade, Megan Truax 7th grade, Alvin Jones in 8th grade, and Melisa Yang for secondary scholars.

The faculty and staff also elect a member of the Atom Family that personifies the qualities of integrity and devotion for student achievement. This month’s selection is Mrs. Mary Payne, Office Manager. SCSA's Executive Director explains, “Mrs. Payne is a very valuable member of our SC Science Academy team. The position of Office Manager requires a great deal of technical computer skills, organizational skills, and most importantly interpersonal skills. It is rare to find someone like Mrs. Payne that excels at all three and we are so very blessed to have her!”
SCSA is an award winning, tuition free middle/high school serving students in grades 6-12. Registration is year-round, for more information go to www.scscienceacademy.org.
